Consultation Sessions are a quick way for us to become acquainted. Because 15 minutes can go by quickly, here is an idea of how we might focus our time. 

We can spend 5 minutes on my instructional background, 5 minutes discussing your goals and past learning experiences, and 5 minutes planning specifics about how our classes will help you reach your learning goals.

• What specific learning goals (due dates, targets, skills, other outcomes, etc.) would you like to achieve by working with a private teacher?
• How would you know when you’ve succeeded? How would success look or feel to you? 
• How soon would you like to reach your goals?

• Are you interested in doing independent practice between classes?
• Do you think you would prefer more discussion, writing, reading, or a mixture of these?
• What facts or factors have gotten in the way of your goals? 
• What kinds of lessons have not worked well for you in the past?
